PGIMER Nursing Officer Recruitment 2026: Notification Out for 243 Posts

PGIMER Chandigarh has released the official recruitment notification for 243 Nursing Officer (Group ‘B’) posts on a Direct Recruitment basis. The advertisement number is PGI/RC/055/2026/2276, dated 09 September 2026. Online registration will commence on 10 September 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications up to 03 October 2026.
The 243 vacancies include 99 UR, 36 SC, 18 ST, 66 OBC and 24 EWS posts. Additionally, 10 posts are earmarked for PwBD candidates. The Nursing Officer post carries Pay Level-7, ₹44,900–₹1,42,400 under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
Candidates aged 18 to 35 years can apply, subject to applicable age-relaxation rules. Eligible educational routes include B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing. GNM Diploma holders can also apply if they fulfil the required nursing registration and one-year experience condition.
Selection will be based on an online Computer Based Test, followed by shortlisting, scrutiny of applications/documents and document verification. The CBT will contain 100 MCQs for 100 marks, with a duration of 100 minutes and 0.25 marks negative marking for each wrong answer. There is no interview for this Group ‘B’ non-gazetted post.
