MP Police Driver Eligibility 2026
Candidates must meet the educational qualification, age
limit and driving licence requirements prescribed by MPESB. This recruitment is
open to male candidates only.
Educational Qualification
For the Constable (Driver) post:
- Candidates
belonging to UR, SC and OBC categories must have passed Class 10th or
Higher
- Secondary/equivalent
examination from a recognised board/institution.
- Candidates
belonging to the ST category must have passed Class 8th or equivalent
examination.
- A
valid heavy vehicle driving licence is mandatory.
- Candidates
will also have to qualify in a separate practical Trade Test.
Age Limit
The minimum age prescribed for the recruitment is 18 years,
with the age calculated as on 29 October 2026. The upper age limit varies
according to the candidate’s category and applicable relaxation rules.

MP Police Driver Selection Process 2026
The selection process for MP Police Driver Recruitment 2026
includes the following stages:
- Written
Examination: Candidates appear for the prescribed computer-based
examination.
- Physical
Proficiency Test (PPT): Shortlisted candidates are assessed against
the prescribed physical test criteria.
- Document
Verification: Candidates must provide the required educational,
identity, category and other supporting documents.
- Driving
Trade Test: Candidates demonstrate their practical driving skills.
- Medical
Examination: Candidates must meet the applicable medical fitness
requirements.
MP Police Driver Physical Test 2026
The Physical Efficiency Test carries 40 marks. Candidates
must secure at least 30% of the total physical test marks, i.e. 8 out of 40
marks, along with the prescribed minimum requirement in the 800-metre run. The
Trade Test is qualifying in nature.
The physical standards differ for the Special Armed Force
and District Police Force.

MP Police Driver Physical Efficiency Test
The Physical Proficiency Test carries 40 marks. Candidates
must satisfy the prescribed physical performance requirements, including the
applicable 800-metre running criteria.
The driving Trade Test is qualifying in nature. Candidates
should practise the required physical activities and driving skills and follow
the instructions issued for the test.
