RRB Station Master Recruitment 2026-27: Notification Updates, Vacancy, Eligibility, Salary

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to release
the RRB Station Master Recruitment 2026-27 notification soon, with over
500+ vacancies anticipated. According to the Railway Board’s notice dated 7
October 2026, Station Master recruitment will be conducted separately through a
dedicated Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) from 2026 onwards, instead
of being included in the RRB NTPC recruitment.
As per the revised selection process, candidates will have
to clear a Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by the Computer
Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), Document Verification (DV), and Medical
Examination.
English Language subject has been added to Railway Station
Master Exam by Railway Recruitment Board. This is the first time that exam
pattern will now include questions from English.
RRB Station Master Recruitment 2026-27
The Railway Recruitment Board is likely to release the RRB
Station Master Notification 2026-27 in the third week of October 2026, with the
online application process beginning after its release. The notification is
expected to cover eligibility criteria, CBT exam pattern, revised syllabus,
CBAT shortlisting rules, medical standards, and salary details. Meanwhile,
candidates can check the available vacancy updates while awaiting the dedicated
Station Master CEN.

What Has Changed in RRB Station Master Recruitment?
From the 2026 recruitment cycle, the Railway Board has
revised the Station Master recruitment process. Earlier, Station Master
vacancies were announced under RRB NTPC recruitment. Now, the Railway
Recruitment Board will release a separate Centralised Employment Notification

According to the Railway Board’s notice dated 7 October
2026, the exact number of vacancies for RRB Station Master Recruitment 2026-27

RRB Station Master CBAT 2026
The Computer Based Aptitude Test will be conducted after the
Single Stage CBT. Candidates will be shortlisted for CBAT up to eight times the
number of vacancies for the concerned RRB, based on their CBT merit.

performance in the CBT and CBAT.
