2026: CSIR – National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune has released the
short notification for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Recruitment 2026 under
Advertisement No. NCL/01-2026/MTS, dated 03 October 2026. The recruitment
is being conducted for 24 MTS posts in various reservation categories.
The online application process will begin on 05 October 2026 at 10:00 AM
and eligible Indian citizens can submit their applications through the CSIR-NCL
recruitment portal.
The post carries Pay Level-01 (₹18,000–₹56,900) under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, with approximate total emoluments of ₹40,000 per month. CSIR NCL MTS Age Limit
The maximum age limit for the Multi-Tasking Staff post is 25
years as on 04 November 2026. Candidates must satisfy the prescribed age
conditions on the closing date of the online application. Age relaxation
for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other eligible categories will be
applicable as per the rules/guidelines of CSIR/Government of India.
CSIR NCL MTS Salary
Selected candidates for Multi-Tasking Staff will be
appointed in Pay Level-01 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, carrying a basic
pay scale of:
₹18,000 – ₹56,900

consists of one objective-type paper at Matriculation level. Similar
CSIR MTS examinations contain 150 questions covering General
Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English Language,
with 3 marks for each correct answer and negative marking for wrong answers.
